- Conduct daily inspections of industrial machinery, including bearings, gear reducers, belts, couplings, and alignment, and perform necessary repairs.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on a variety of heavy machinery, including CNC equipment, lathes, and grinders.
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks and schedules to ensure machine reliability and extend equipment lifespan.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic), and technical manuals for diagnostics and repair.
- Fabricate and install new or replacement equipment from design drawings or instructions, utilizing welding and torch cutting skills.
- Maintain and repair ancillary equipment such as shot blasts and associated dust collectors.
- Provide prompt and effective response to equipment breakdowns, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for accurate documentation of work orders, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities.
- Assist in rigging tasks for machinery movement and installation.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and guidelines, including Lockout/Tagout, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Journeyman Millwright certification or an equivalent combination of 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience and education.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and blueprints.
- Proficiency in welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) and torch cutting.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and CMMS.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and work order management.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Experience with CNC machinery diagnostics and repair.
- Familiarity with basic Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) diagnostics (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
- Prior experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment, particularly heavy equipment components.
- Certification for operating forklifts and man-lifts.
- Ability to provide personal hand tools as required.
