Responsibilities & QualificationsRESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for activities related to virtual and cloud solution administration.. Assigns personnel to various projects, directs their activities, and evaluates their work. Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software. Implements operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.Responsible for the modernization, sustainment and operation of the US Army’s Unclassified and SECRET Enterprise Networks, virtual and cloud resources. Studies available products to determine those which best meet customer’s needs; assists in presentation of information to leadership resulting in purchase and installation of hardware, software, and telecommunication equipment. Manages network/system performance and maintains security. Ensures that security procedures are implemented and enforced. Installs all network software. Evaluates, develops and maintains telecommunications systems. Troubleshoots problems establishing and implementing policies, procedures and standards and ensures their conformance with information systems and company objectives. Trains technicians on virtual environments and cloud operations.Plans, implements, operates services and systems, including hardware, cloud and virtual environments.Develops and maintains business, systems, and information processes to support enterprise mission needs. Develops technology rules and requirements that describe baseline and target architectures.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 12 Years of experience in cybersecurity or intelligence threat analysis, implementing Federal guidance while incorporating industry best practices. Knowledgeable in DoD Enterprise services.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s or 8+ years with Master’s with relevant IT degree.
  • ITIL Foundations certification required within 3 months of start.
  • Certifications in Virtualization and Cloud solutions administration and architecture
  • VMWare Certified Professional (VCP)
AND one of the following:
  • CompTIA Cloud+
  • Azure Administrator Associate
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (CSAA) or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large, technical complex organization. Must have an in-depth understanding of advanced concepts and processes and experience applying these with little to no guidance. Must be able to provide guidance to others. Must be able to perform successfully in complex, unstructured situations.
  • Demonstrated success and experience leading contractors in a DoD environment, working with Military and civilian leadership, while obtaining mission success and program profitability.
  • Demonstrated understanding of U.S. Army IT operational and technical requirements.
