Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Java Developer in West Valley City, UT. Summary: We're seeking a Senior Java Developer who thrives on solving complex problems and shaping scalable solutions. In this role, you'll take ownership of the technical design for mid-sized projects, balancing tradeoffs between performance, scalability, and maintainability. You'll break initiatives into actionable pieces, partner closely with your agile team, and ensure delivery of reliable, high-quality software. Duties:
  • Senior Java Developer will design and implement solutions with a focus on performance, quality, and long-term sustainability
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while keeping up with emerging tools, frameworks, and practices
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across multiple parts of the system with confidence
  • Use data and metrics to guide decisions, validate assumptions, and advocate for technical approaches
  • Proactively address technical debt to prevent future bottlenecks and system instability
  • Collaborate with QA and other stakeholders to assess risk, ensure testability, and safeguard product quality
  • As a Senior Java Developer, you will lead initiatives that extend beyond individual contributions, ensuring alignment with team and business goals
  • Mentor and support other engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing
  • Help evolve the team's engineering practices, development standards, and agile processes
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript and AngularJS
  • Strong expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JSON
  • Understanding of responsive design principles
  • Solid proficiency in SQL and ORM frameworks
  • Comfortable working across multiple languages and frameworks (polyglot mindset)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
