Position SummaryThe Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of New Mexico (UNM) anticipates hiring Adjunct Faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in the Spring 2026, Summer 2026, and Fall 2026 Semesters.Anticipated openings will be for Adjuncts who can teach courses in a broad range of subject areas, including but not limited to the subject areas covered in the following UNM courses:
- ASTR 1115 Intro Astronomy
- ASTR 1115L Intro Astronomy Lab
- PHYS 1115 Survey of Physics
- PHYS 1120 Intro to Applied Physics
- PHYS 1230 Algebra-Based Physics I
- PHYS 1231 Prob Algebra-Based Physics I
- PHYS 1240 Algebra-Based Physics II
- PHYS 1241 Prob Algebra-Based Physics II
- PHYS 1310 Calculus-Based Physics I
- PHYS 1311 Prob Calculus-Based Physics I
- Spring 2026 semester - October 15, 2025
