Program, set up, and operate a variety of CNC and manual machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.) to fabricate precision parts
Interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications
Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues independently to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Inspect parts using advanced measuring tools (CMM, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
Suggest and implement process improvements for increased efficiency and quality
Train and mentor less-experienced machinists and act as a resource for technical knowledge
Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure project timelines and quality expectations are met
Perform preventative maintenance on machines and ensure compliance with safety standards
The background of the successful candidate must include the following:
A High School Diploma or GED is required; vocational school/technical certification is preferred
2+ years of experience in CNC machine programming and setup
2+ years of hands-on programming experience is a requirement
Proficient in CNC programming (G-code, Fanuc, Mazak, Haas, or similar controls)
Strong knowledge of materials, tooling, feeds, and speeds
Ability to work from complex blueprints and GD&T symbols
Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma practices is a plus
A solid work history with strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
