- Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
- Position Type: Full-Time (On-site, Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm)
- Perform accounts payable functions including invoice entry, vendor file maintenance, W-9 collection, and matching purchasing/shipping documentation
- Record donations, grants, and other income; reconcile daily deposits
- Accurately record EFTs, ACHs, and check payments into QuickBooks in a timely manner
- Maintain the general ledger across multiple QuickBooks classes
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare journal entries
- Reconcile intercompany and affiliate transactions across three organizations
- Prepare monthly and annual accounting close packages for COO review
- Reconcile contribution records with Development Director's monthly data
- Prepare and e-file annual 1099s for independent contractors and vendors
- Assist in annual external audits and financial reviews
- Support the COO with month-end closing and financial statement preparation
- Provide administrative support to management as needed
- Perform other related projects or tasks as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Experience with payroll and benefits administration (Paychex Online a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting management in an administrative capacity
