
Construction Cost Analyst Intern - Summer 2026

- Gathers and analyses all cost information and inputs new projects into the database.
- Prepares benchmarking analysis to client to give an early estimate.
- Develops and maintains a historic cost database.
- Establishes a network of office contacts that can provide details of bid projects monthly.
- Designs cost models to display well-presented breakdowns of cost information and data.
- Develops parametric cost models to investigate different cost scenarios as size, shape, and function of a building/building element changes
- Supports the update of a series of cost and location indices that in turn will automatically update historic cost information to current date and location.
- Prepares occasional bespoke client reports upon request – varying topics.
- May prepare regular articles of interest in connection with costs within the construction industry e.g., cost of LEED certification, including articles for publications.

- EDUCATION:
- Must have completed 60 hours towards a relevant Bachelor’s degree or be enrolled in a relevant Master’s program by the start of the internship (Summer 2026).
- SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Solid understanding of Excel
- Familiarity with PowerBI
- Interest or background in construction management or civil engineering
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity
- Python and SQL Databases (would be a plus)
