Job Title: Maintenance Technician 2 Job DescriptionAs a Maintenance Technician 2, you will play a pivotal role within the powertrain team to achieve key results. Your expertise in troubleshooting PM and Electrical Systems will be essential in developing strategies that align with team and company goals. You will report to various supervisors and managers throughout the production organization. A strong knowledge of standard automotive OEM process equipment and related systems is necessary, along with problem-solving skills and proactive communication.Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance of process equipment in various shops depending on the department.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on all types of production equipment.
  • Correctly document all preventive maintenance activities performed.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance planner to learn and utilize the CMMS system.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex issues on production equipment.
  • Repair and/or replace defective parts.
  • Support the installation of new equipment.
  • Fabricate parts for plant and/or production equipment.
  • Enforce and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed.
Essential Skills
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance technician operations, mechanical and automotive repair, and automotive manufacturing.
  • Expertise in preventive maintenance and electro-mechanical troubleshooting of shafts, motors, chains, and conveyor systems.
  • Proficiency in PLC systems and troubleshooting robots and automated equipment.
  • Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems, including the operation of cylinders and valves.
  • Ability to use diagnostics tools such as multimeters.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Understanding of electrical control systems.
  • Detailed mechanical troubleshooting abilities for robots and/or other automation equipment.
  • Familiarity with shafts, motors, chains, and conveyor-related equipment.
  • Knowledge of PLC logic controls (Rockwell, Siemens, etc.).
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment, including forklifts and other powered industrial trucks.
  • Valid US driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
Work EnvironmentYou will work on C Crew during nights from Sunday to Wednesday, 5:30 PM to 5:00 AM, with 12-hour shifts including a 30-minute lunch break. This role requires frequent standing, stooping, walking, lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds, and performing similar actions during the workday. You will work 40-48 hours a week, with a 48-hour schedule if needed, across a 7-day operation.
