Duties shall encompass the responsibility and accountability for all manufacturing, testing and shipment of hardware to meet the customer’s delivery requirements while also ensuring full compliance with all EH&S and product protection requirements. The Manufacturing Manager shall support their team through effective leadership and management practices and utilize LEAN principles in developing a world class organization resulting in reduced manufacturing costs, industry leading quality and EH&S metrics and best in class on time delivery.Position will work primarily onsite. This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for effective utilization of assigned manpower resources to ensure adequate and prompt support of program needsResponsible for On Time Delivery of end item deliverable to the customer contract datesResponsible for effective and accurate management of the manufacturing overhead budgetEnsure effective communication (written and oral) via status reports to program, customer and functional management in accordance with program communication plan and UTAS processesResponsible for ensuring assigned manufacturing areas are EH&S compliantEnsure personal and direct reporting employee adherence to company EH&S requirementsResponsible for ensuring effective implementation of Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and product protection requirements.Responsible for completion of providing leadership and effective employee management through consistent conduct of Performance Reviews for all direct reporting employeesResponsible for personal and direct reporting employee adherence to UTAS RegulationsShall ensure adequate knowledge and direct application of ACE and LEAN manufacturing principles within the production environment and implement and oversee a Continuous Improvement culturePromote an ethics-based business culture in his/her organization, ensuring UTC’s “Code of Ethics,” the “Policy Statement on Business Ethics and Conduct in Contracting with the U.S. Government,” and related policies as well as ensure all are trained as required.Qualifications/ Experience Needed:Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experienceU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contractPreferred Qualifications:Aerospace manufacturing experienceCollins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
