- Financial Analysis: Gather and interpret financial information to create meaningful and concise analyses, considering a broad range of interdependent issues.
- Data Interpretation: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
- Process Improvement: Participate in initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the general ledger accounting function.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Accurately record all financial transactions and update the general ledger in a timely manner.
- Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and complete recording of financial transactions.
- Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Ad-Hoc Support: Provide support for ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
- Training and Coaching: Train and coach finance users in the adoption and implementation of analytical tools and address system issues identified by business stakeholders.
- Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in Accounting/Finance.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of US GAAP; familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Systems Proficiency: Experience with SAP and Blackline reconciliation platform.
- Process Mapping: Experience in process mapping and automation tools.
- Certification: CPA or equivalent designation preferred.
- Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and statements.
- Organization: Well-organized and methodical thinker with strong decision-making abilities.
