- System Administration (General):
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Manage and monitor virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
- Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Perform routine system health checks, performance monitoring, and patching.
- Microsoft 365 Specialization:
- Serve as the primary administrator for the entire Microsoft 365 tenant, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Teams.
- Implement and manage Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), including user and group administration, conditional access policies, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting, and administrative tasks across both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Implement and manage security and compliance solutions within the Microsoft 365 Defender and Purview suites.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Provide expert-level support and serve as the final point of escalation for complex technical issues related to servers, network, and M365 services.
- Create and maintain documentation for systems and common support procedures to empower the help desk team.
- Administer Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams, ensuring mail flow, protection, and user permissions are configured correctly.
- 7+ years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and network administration.
- Proven experience with large-scale M365 deployments, migrations, and administration.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for both on-premises and Microsoft 365 environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
- Strong understanding of M365 security and compliance tools (Microsoft Defender, Purview).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical staff.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert is highly preferred.
- Candidates must hold at least one of the following prerequisite certifications:
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
- Other relevant certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, or CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
