- Position Summary
- Two temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant positions available in the University Police Department.
- Start Date
- Positions available on or after September 2, 2025 and ending on or before May 29, 202. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
- Job Description/Duties
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist with receiving the public and answering questions, in person and by telephone.
- Assist with responding to inquiries from employees, students, and citizens.
- Assist with referring inquiries, when necessary, to the appropriate person, or department.
- Assist with general clerical duties, entering data into a computer, filing records, sending and receiving faxes, answering telephone calls, and relaying messages.
- Assist with picking up, sorting and distributing mail.
- Assist with the processing of parking citations.
- Assist with cashier payment transactions for UPD and Parking Management Bureau.
- Assist with performing Live Scan fingerprint services.
- Assist with receiving and transmitting shuttle requests over the radio.
- Perform all other duties or projects as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
- Salary Range
- $16.50 per hour.
