Are you ready to go beyond?What You Will Do:Commercial Engines, Aftermarket Operations is seeking a highly motivated, capable, self-directed leader for an Associate Director, Operational Readiness & Excellence (M6) role in support of our Commercial Engines aftermarket network of Disassembly, Assembly & Test (DAT) sites.The person in this role will be responsible for owning & driving our industrial readiness, process control and improvement strategies across our internal & external GTF DAT network of shops.In this role you will be managing a team of Industrial Readiness Leads, Process Control & Improvement Engineers, Tooling Engineers and Test Engineers for GTF engine and test systems. This team will be responsible for executing network wide strategies leveraging the best of the best within and outside our network for the advancement across all DAT’s.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the CE Ops DAT Readiness & Operational Excellence team, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities to achieve organizational goals.Partner with Programs to identify campaign requirements and drive industrialization across DAT network.Partner with DAT’s, engineering organizations, quality and CE Programs to align, update and deliver tech data changes that increase overall process yield and reduces defects.Monitor and analyze process performance metrics, identify trends, areas of improvement, and implement corrective and preventive actions.Resolve network-wide technical challenges through both process/tooling improvements and root cause investigations.Lead Critical to Quality Process & Tooling strategies to add additional control measures increasing FPY, eliminating turnbacks and reducing DAT Turn Around Time (TAT).Establish a team to create “Master” PFMEA catalog identifying appropriate control measures enabling risk reduction to acceptable levels.Oversee a team to identify and feed TD update opportunities for incorporation into the Engine Manual (EM) for the benefit of our DAT sites.Establish OEM-MRO Process Councils to drive joint problem-solving & share learnings “live” for implementation network wide.Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team and across the organization.Demonstrate a high level of proficiency and working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.Effectively lead a talented, multi-disciplined, multi-faceted team.Qualifications You Must Have:Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years prior engineering and technical experience within a operations or aerospace environment; OR Advanced Degree 10+ years of experience which includes aerospace industry experience2+ years prior leadership experience leading technical teamsExperience reading and/or interpreting engine manualsQualifications We Prefer:Degree in STEM field; Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering fields preferred.Experience leading a global team and managing projects across time zonesExperience of aircraft engine Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) or Disassembly, Assembly and Test (DAT) environment.Strong technical and functional knowledge of turbine engines and/or Pratt & Whitney products.Project management experience and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma).Experience with Solumina G8 MES, SAP ERP, and MS Office Suite.Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and influence leadership, peers, and cross-functional teamsWhat is my Role Type?In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
