- Architect and oversee the development of scalable, efficient Azure Data Factory pipelines and SSIS packages to support enterprise-wide ELT/ETL processes, ensuring alignment with data platform strategy and performance standards.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to define and translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable data architecture and integration solutions.
- Establish and enforce best practices for ETL/ELT development, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems and teams.
- Design and optimize advanced SQL solutions, including stored procedures and functions, to support high-volume data processing and analytics across diverse platforms (e.g., TM1, PowerBI).
- Drive data profiling and quality initiatives, identifying systemic issues and implementing proactive solutions to improve data reliability and usability.
- Define and implement enterprise data transformation and validation frameworks, ensuring consistent application of business rules and data standards.
- Partner with business analysts and data consumers to ensure seamless, governed data flows across operational and analytical systems.
- Monitor and tune data platform performance, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks in SQL, ELT/ETL, and infrastructure layers.
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex data issues, coordinating across teams to ensure long-term stability and resilience.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement, staying current with emerging trends in data engineering, Microsoft Fabric, analytics, and AI, and evaluating their applicability to enterprise needs.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years in data architecture or technical leadership role.
- Deep expertise in SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management frameworks.
- Experience with modern data platforms, including Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and PowerBI.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Preferred: Familiarity with financial and business analytics platforms (e.g., TM1, OneStream).
- Preferred: Functional experience working with and/or implementing modern medallion architecture.
- Certifications in Microsoft Azure, Data Engineering, or related technologies are a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
