
Resident Engineering Coordinator

- Coordinate and support resident engineering projects from launch through completion.
- Monitor project KPIs and prepare reports for management and clients.
- Support problem-solving activities and corrective action plans.
- Assist with customer escalations and ensure issues are addressed promptly.
- Ensure compliance with company processes, quality systems, and health & safety standards.
- Serve as a primary point of contact between customers (OEMs/suppliers) and the Resident Engineering team.
- Represent TRIGO and its partners professionally at client sites.
- Identify potential opportunities to expand Resident Engineering services and share business development leads.
- Promote customer satisfaction through proactive communication and reliable project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and support to resident engineers and technicians as assigned by manager(s).
- Assist manager with onboarding, training, and resource allocation for new and existing team members.
- Communicate with field teams to ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and identify field RE team training needs.
- Maintain consistent communication with the Resident Engineering Manager regarding project status, risks, and opportunities.
- Communicate with sales/business development on opportunities to grow the business with new and existing customers.
- Prepare project information, customer updates, and internal reports as required.
- Ensure appropriate and timely communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Frequent travel to customer sites across the US and Canada.
- Occasional extended stays during project launches or escalations.
- Ability to travel with little advanced notice.
- Valid US passport may be required.
- Degree in Engineering or associated STEM discipline preferred, technical experience, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in the automotive or other technical manufacturing industry.
- 1–2 years in a resident engineering, project coordination, or comparable role.
- Knowledge of quality principles (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, problem solving, Lean).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience launching projects.
- Experience supervising or coordinating technical teams.
- Client relationship experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software tools.
- Additional language skills a plus.
- Strong customer focus with ability to build long-term partnerships.
- Problem-solving and negotiation skills under pressure.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
- Well-organized, reliable, and detail oriented.
- Reliable, responsible and motivated self-starter.
- Capable of supporting teams both onsite and remotely.
