We aim to make the world a better, more connected place.CNN’s Digital Video team creates custom video content for all CNN platforms and select social vertical platforms. You’ll be joining a group of passionate, multitalented producers dedicated to telling impactful stories with cinematic flair and creativity. We produce premium short-form digital video series and franchises – in the field and in studio -- across the full range of CNN’s editorial departments including Business, Tech, Politics, Travel, Style and Wellness.From exploring the future of food in the remote deserts of New Mexico, to navigating West Virginia’s bluegrass scene, to explaining the subtleties of airplane etiquette, we tell stories big and small – that may be newsy or evergreen – with the aim of informing, inspiring and engaging the largest global digital audience in news today.Producers on the Digital Features team must be skilled at all phases of end-to-end video story production. The ideal candidate will be excited to take ownership of a project from conception to delivery; he/she will be able to research, pitch and develop stories and series, shoot and execute video collaboratively in the field on budget, and write/edit video scripts for a variety of digital and social platforms – all within a deadline-driven environment.In addition to feature stories, producers may help with daily news coverage on occasion.Sound editorial judgment, teamwork, curiosity and creativity are a must, along with the ability to navigate the demands of a fast-paced deadline-driven news organization. The ability to work collaboratively with correspondents and talent in the field and in post-production is paramount.What will you be doing?
  • Research, pitch and develop digital video stories and series with editorial partners and platforms in mind
  • Develop visual and narrative styles and motifs
  • Plan, produce, and execute shoots in the field with a cinematic eye
  • Edit feature videos from rough to final edit
  • Responsibly manage schedules and budgets to ensure timely, current and cost effective productions
  • Enthusiastically assist team members as needed
  • Creatively troubleshoot and problem-solve challenges
  • Collaborate with other teams across the organization (writers, programmers, social producers, on-camera correspondents)
  • May lead smaller production teams in the development and execution of smaller projects
  • Multitask projects and productions
  • Be fully accountable for projects from conception to delivery on deadline
What do we need from you?
  • Ideal candidates will have 4-5+ years of experience in the field, shooting with DSLR cameras or similar prosumer cameras (FS7, FX9 FX6, A7S)
  • High expertise in post-production editing software such as Premiere Pro
  • Deep experience creating video for digital platforms - social, mobile and desktop
  • Track record of collaborating in a deadline-driven news environment
  • A portfolio of proven journalistic credentials, showing judgment and creativity
  • Experience creating serialized video franchises from the pitch process to publishing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast high pressure environment
  • A willingness to enthusiastically adapt to rapid changes
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Television-Film Production, Communications, or related discipline or equiv. work experience

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $83,993.00 - $155,987.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
