- Takes assignments as given by LWO Engineering Manager(s).
- Any technical information generated through completion of the assignments shall be used by the applicable Engineering Manager as technical input for problem resolution or as the starting point for the development of an approved LWO Technical Report, calculation, or other applicable technical documents.
- The use of the technical information generated is at the discretion of the applicable Engineering Manager. Supports development, review, and analysis of process flowsheets.
- Provides Professional Engineer (PE) review of permit application packages.
- Evaluates chemical impacts on vapor space flammability, process operations, effects on installed equipment, and potential generation of reaction by-products.
- Mentors other engineers, as directed. Attends on-site Technical meetings and Safety meetings, as necessary.
- Bachelor of Science Degree
- Associate of Science Degree plus 5 years experience working in the Nuclear Industry, or an engineering/technical environment that is commensurate with the scope that needs to be performed. SRR/SRS experience is preferred.
- 10 years experience in the Nuclear Industry, or an engineering/technical environment that is commensurate with the scope that needs to be performed. SRR/SRS experience is preferred.
- When the services of a PE are required, the PE shall be registered and licensed in the state of South Carolina.
- U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
- All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization” (also referred to as an “Employment Authorization”) by the USG's designated Security Office.

- Must be able to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or DOE "Q" clearance.
- A 40-hour workweek is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B).
- Work week excludes SRR holidays. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch. The candidate may be asked to work Overtime and an assignment to Shift Work may be needed to implement other task requirements (e.g., assess work activities by operations and maintenance personnel).
- If overtime is requested, an approved overtime form must be provided before the overtime can be worked.
- The approved overtime form will be sent with the invoice. Travel may also be required depending on the different tasks assigned.
