- Develop/maintain NDE technology skills/knowledge to support those who perform NDE examinations on critical plant Systems, Structures, and Components.
- Provide timely examination results and basis for examination parameters to SRR or external customers. This requires work coordination with customers, facility managers, equipment owners, supervision, work planners, radiological personnel, and others as appropriate.
- Provide technical inspection reports, technical observations, problems encountered, solutions, and/or technical recommendations. May include the technical rationale for interpretation of examination results or basis for selecting specific parameters of examination.
- Support NDE personnel, when required, in harsh environments and/or unusual locations (i.e. outdoors, radiological, respiratory protection, confined spaces, elevated surfaces, etc.), following established safety policies and procedures. RWT II, respirator/plastic suit qualifications are required.
- Knowledge of Site NDE procedures, Site contacts, and work area requirements.
- Support facility/design engineering in identifying/specifying appropriate NDE methods and acceptance criteria for SRR Complex components/systems.
- Develop and maintain plans and schedules for inspections, structural integrity, and indication investigations.
- Review, validate, report, and disposition inspection results and report via the In-Service Inspection Review Committee (ISIRC).
- Maintain records, including indexes of inspections.
- Near vision acuity is at least 20/25 (equivalent to Jaeger J1 near vision) in one eye or both eyes simultaneously, corrected or uncorrected. The test administered by SRS Site Medical department.
- Distant vision acuity is at least 20/30 in one eye or both eyes simultaneously, corrected or uncorrected. Test administered by SRS Site Medical department.
- Candidates shall be capable of distinguishing the primary colors of red, blue, green, and yellow. Candidates that have color vision deficiencies shall be required to pass a primary color test, administered by the Certifying Authority, which has been approved by the SRS Site medical department. Color perception is determined acceptable by Site Medical Services using established procedures.
- Candidate must have excellent written/verbal communications skills.
- Competent computer skills (including MS Office) are required.
- Candidate must have demonstrated an acceptable proficiency in mathematics and science by successfully completing written and hands-on examinations in their applicable NDE methods.
- Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.
- Nuclear facility experience.
- Meet Level II certification as defined in ASNT/SNT-TC-1A (edition identified in Y-23 Manual Procedure NDEP 2.1 latest revision) in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Radiographic Testing (RT).
- U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen
