Our commitment to quality, innovation, and efficiency drives our success in delivering premium products to our clientsPosition OverviewThe Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day production and compounding operations, leading a team of production staff, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing workflows in the cosmetics or personal care industry, a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a commitment to operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Oversight: Manage daily manufacturing and compounding schedules, ensuring alignment with quality standards, timelines, and safety protocols.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor production staff; assign tasks, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development.
  • Project Management: Lead and coordinate multiple process improvement and scale-up initiatives across departments.
  • Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements using lean methodologies or Six Sigma principles.
  • Facility Management: Maintain awareness of equipment performance, resource needs, and facility workflows to proactively manage operational needs.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless product transitions from development to scale-up.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Ensure proper batch recordkeeping, production reporting, and documentation compliance in line with GMP and internal SOPs.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years in cosmetics or personal care manufacturing
  • Proven experience managing both compounding and filling/production operations
  • Experience managing production teams (preferably 2+ direct reports)
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Familiarity with GMP, ISO, and cosmetic manufacturing compliance
  • Proficient in production software and reporting systems
  • Certifications (Optional):
  • Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt)
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • OSHA or safety certifications
Compensation:
  • Annual bonus (up to 10% of salary)
  • 401 K
  • Annual raises based on performance
  • 9 to 5 shift, Monday to Friday (with Early Fridays)
