
School Receptionist

- Supports callers with their specific requests, including, but not limited to updating scholar dismissal information and logging information regarding scholar absences.
- Takes messages for school team members and relays those messages to the relevant team member for future follow up.
- Prints the Family Newsletter to have it available for all families who visit the school and takes the opportunity to reinforce important information about upcoming events (for example, to remind families about Report Card Night or a Family Fun Night).
- Calls the families of all scholars who are reported each day to check on the wellness of their scholar and, if appropriate, to remind the family of the school's attendance policy and relevant attendance supports
- Documents and follows up on information from attendance calls, including, for example, enlisting the Assistant School Leader of Culture in addressing a chronic absenteeism issue or enlisting the School Operations Manager in addressing a transportation issue
- Fulfills executive assistant duties for the Chief Executive Officer when requested.
- Accountable for students' success and believes Enterprise's students must receive the highest quality education possible in order to close the opportunity gap

- Serves as an advocate for racial equity with the school's colleagues, parents, students, community, and external stakeholders to promote equity in education and closure of the opportunity gap
- The ability to effectively communicate the vision of Enterprise Charter School in a way that invests scholars and families in the school.
- Previous experience demonstrating excellent service for students and staff, particularly in a school serving students from historically marginalized communities.
- A relentless commitment to closing opportunity gaps for our students to support their efforts to lead choice-filled lives
- Detailed-oriented, strong follow-through skills and the ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, and work independently
- Strong time management skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet deadlines
- Excellent typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common Google products (like Google Docs and Google Sheets).
- Strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality, particularly as it applies to personal information of students and families.
- An ability to speak a second language commonly spoken in Buffalo, such as Spanish, Arabic, Karen, Somali, Burmese, Swahili, Bengali, or Nepali is preferred.
- High school diploma is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
