
Lead Manufacturing Engineer - Special Projects / New Product Industrialization

- Design, develop, procure, install and qualify new manufacturing equipment, delivering full production ready processes while project managing internal/external team members and vendors.
- Develop and maintain tooling, manufacturing instructions, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent quality and compliance with regulations.
- Provide technical and process support to manufacturing teams, troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Design Engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products and provide input during the product development phase.
- Manage New Product Introduction including technical design review, tooling and equipment acquisition, and overall project schedule management of a cross-functional manufacturing, engineering, and materials team.
- Conduct root cause analysis to address production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities for automation and implement advanced technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market, acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited university or college with 3 or more years of experience in a production manufacturing environment or equivalent technical experience (or high-school diploma/ GED with 6 or more years of experience in a production manufacturing environment or equivalent technical experience).
- Experience in at least one of the following project management, equipment procurement, equipment implementation or tooling and fixture design.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Proven technical experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
- Established project management skills as well as consistent communication of project status / escalation points.
- Design software experience (NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar CAD software).
- Ability to coordinate and manage several projects simultaneously, experience. working with vendors and construction companies to execute projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to influence others and lead small teams.
- Technical print and specification reading and writing abilities.
