  • Bachelors Degree
Required Qualifications:In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities.
  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Finance or related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in construction cost control, estimating, or quantity surveying
  • Proven experience working on commercial, infrastructure, or public works projects
  • Proficiency in cost management tools such as Procore, e-Builder, Sage, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, methods, materials, and regulations
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and forecasting
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certification such as CCP (Certified Cost Professional), MRICS, or similar
  • Experience in sustainable construction practices and LEED-certified projects
  • Familiarity with state and local construction codes and public procurement processes
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets and cost forecasts throughout all phases of construction
  • Prepare cost estimates and cash flow projections for new and ongoing projects
  • Conduct cost analysis, value engineering, and risk assessments to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Track and report on project costs, variances, and changes; prepare monthly cost reports for internal and client review
  • Evaluate contractor bids, payment applications, and change orders for accuracy and compliance
  • Support procurement strategy and assist in contract negotiations with vendors and subcontractors
  • Collaborate with project managers, schedulers, and field staff to ensure alignment of cost data with project progress
  • Ensure adherence to company financial procedures, audit compliance, and client reporting standards
  • Maintain and update historical cost databases and benchmarking data
  • Attend client and team meetings to present cost-related data and provide expert advice
Salary:
  • $70.00 - $80.00/hour
