- Bachelors Degree
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Finance or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in construction cost control, estimating, or quantity surveying
- Proven experience working on commercial, infrastructure, or public works projects
- Proficiency in cost management tools such as Procore, e-Builder, Sage, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, methods, materials, and regulations
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and forecasting
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Professional certification such as CCP (Certified Cost Professional), MRICS, or similar
- Experience in sustainable construction practices and LEED-certified projects
- Familiarity with state and local construction codes and public procurement processes
- Develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets and cost forecasts throughout all phases of construction
- Prepare cost estimates and cash flow projections for new and ongoing projects
- Conduct cost analysis, value engineering, and risk assessments to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Track and report on project costs, variances, and changes; prepare monthly cost reports for internal and client review
- Evaluate contractor bids, payment applications, and change orders for accuracy and compliance
- Support procurement strategy and assist in contract negotiations with vendors and subcontractors
- Collaborate with project managers, schedulers, and field staff to ensure alignment of cost data with project progress
- Ensure adherence to company financial procedures, audit compliance, and client reporting standards
- Maintain and update historical cost databases and benchmarking data
- Attend client and team meetings to present cost-related data and provide expert advice
