
Weld Lead

- Lead, mentor, and train a team of welders, providing guidance, feedback, and support.
- Perform high-quality welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) on various metal types and thicknesses according to blueprints and specifications.
- Set up and adjust welding equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to guide the team.
- Conduct in-process quality checks and final inspections of welded components to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
- Troubleshoot welding issues and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in scheduling, material allocation, and workflow management within the weld department.
- Promote and enforce strict safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
- Collaborate with production supervisors, quality control, and engineering to optimize processes and resolve technical challenges.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the welding department.
- 5+ years of hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting, with expertise in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding.
- Proven experience in a lead or supervisory role within a welding or fabrication team is preferred.
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality welds.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot welding issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of welding safety standards and best practices.
