
Senior Network Security Engineer

- Act as a Network Security Operations technical subject matter expert and point of escalation that provides mentorship and direction to team members.
- Lead projects in relation to design and provisioning of network infrastructure and security components.
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain IT networking technologies utilized and deployed within our on premises data centers and Cloud environments.
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain IT networking cybersecurity technologies that protect and integrate with the IT networking technologies deployed within our on premises data centers and Cloud environments.
- Provide leadership and direction by consulting with other IT functions/teams (Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, DevOps, Infrastructure, Cloud Center of Excellence, Data Management, etc.) to help drive secure architecture for solutions.
- Collaborate with Network Security Operations team lead to help ensure network security policies are implemented and followed.
- Partner with the Cybersecurity team to support, plan, consult on, and drive the corporate cybersecurity strategy and implementation.
- Define and provide implementation support for KPI's that are used to help maintain robust monitoring solutions for the Network Security Operations team.
- Drive constant analysis and evaluation of business technology needs and architecture to ensure adequate secure networking solutions are in place that follows relevant industry standards and best practices.
- Create and maintain documentation to support policies, procedures and runbooks.
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or 7+ years of experience in corporate networking, cybersecurity administration, and solution design.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity industry standards and practices.
- Exceptional knowledge of network protocols and network routing protocols (e.g., EIGRP, BGP, & OSPF).
- Exceptional knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco networking and security technologies (e.g., Nexus switches, Umbrella, FTD firewalls, FirePOWER Services, ISE, Meraki and ACI).
- Knowledge and experience in working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Knowledge of scripting languages basics (Python, Powershell, etc.) is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
