Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Development Engineer with a focus on developing complex systems in C++, to work onsite in Fort Wayne, IN as part of the Zumwalt Software Development Team.What You Will Do:Be part of a successful team creating high-performance applications and be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for a cutting-edge Navy Destroyer Platform.
  • Work with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.
  • Functional analysis of real world and test data
  • Collaboration with customer to bring new capabilities to the warfighter.
What You Will Learn:
  • A breadth of advanced software technologies and techniques including multi-tiered architectures.
  • Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques.
  • Software lifecycle practices for large-scale defense projects.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • At least 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • Experience developing software using C++.
  • Experience in scripting using Python or similar.
Active and transferrable final Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience developing software using C++ Environments
  • Experience with C++ Unit Test Frameworks
  • Software development lifecycle experience using an Agile methodology.
  • Experience with Atlassian, Test Automation, DevSecOps, and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience with tools such as Confluence, VS Code, Jira, Jenkins, and Junit.
  • Experience in system design, development, integration/verification, production, and sustainment
  • Experience across the product development life cycle.
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written, with technical, customer and leadership audiences.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Proven ability and desire to facilitate career growth and knowledge transfer.
  • Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues.
  • Familiarity with DOORS, and MS Office.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
