At Komatsu, our Total Rewards team supports North America in various areas including payroll, onboarding, offboarding, leave management, reporting, compensation, benefits, HRIS, and HR analytics. This role will provide foundational skills in payroll administration with potential for career advancement within each key area of the team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working cross-functionally between human resources, benefits, and the business, and will be adaptable to meet the evolving needs of the day.Key Job ResponsibilitiesConfirm data changes via automated process for employee changes such as new hires, terminations, & pay changesComputing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions and processing terminationsUpdate/Process employee earnings and deductions and miscellaneous payroll entries using payroll system, UKGPerform historical corrections on employee time records within the Workforce Management (WFM) system to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and labor regulations.Processing weekly, bi-weekly and/or monthly payrolls for assigned employee groupsAnalysis of payroll data to ensure error free processingPayroll support on garnishments and leviesDevelop and maintain relationships with Human Resources and Employee Benefits, as well as other business units throughout the United StatesQualifications/RequirementsHigh-school diploma (or equivalent) required, Associates level degree preferred0-3 years of experience in Human Resources or Finance (preferred)Must possess strong Customer service and professional verbal and written communication skillsAbility to read, comprehend and follow verbal instructions and ability to perform basic arithmetic and payroll calculationsStrong attention to detail and ability to consistently meet strict deadlinesAbility to work in a fast-paced working environment, manage high volume, repetitive daily tasks, and be highly adaptableProven success with tasks requiring high level of accuracy and confidentialityAble to handle difficult situations with patience.
