Allied Reliability is seeking experienced Warehouse/Forklift Operator Team Leads to assist onsite at one of our premier client locations in the Detroit, MI area. This position may require travel between three separate warehouses in the Detroit area depending on shipments/business needs. This is a Team Lead role but does not have direct reports or Supervisory responsibilities.Job Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the warehouse team and forklift operators to ensure efficient operations.
  • Oversee the safe and effective handling and movement of materials within the warehouse.
  • Assist in the training and development of team members in forklift operation and warehouse procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices within the warehouse environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to maintain compliance and efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain personnel to manage stock effectively.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Assist leadership with reports and documentation as needed.
  • Act as a point of contact for problem-solving and resolution for operational challenge when Supervisor/Manager is not present.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless flow of materials and information.
Essential Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Certification in forklift operation is required.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse safety practices and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management software and technology solutions.
  • Experience working in logistics and project management.
  • Previous experience in managing teams or leading projects in a warehouse setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and drive efficiency.
  • Familiarity with inventory tracking systems and transportation management software.
