- Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner to move materials within a warehouse or storage facility.
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves using the forklift.
- Pick and prepare orders for delivery or production needs.
- Inspect machinery and perform routine maintenance checks.
- Assist with inventory management and maintaining organized storage areas.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while operating the forklift.
- Responsible for spotting and directing the movement of trucks within the warehouse facility.
- Assist in coordinating the loading and unloading of goods.
- Ensure efficient and safe maneuvering of vehicles in the warehouse area.
- Monitor inventory movement and assist with inventory management tasks.
- Report any issues or concerns related to warehouse operations to the appropriate personnel.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Valid forklift operator certification or license or proven experience of at least 1 or more years in a Forklift Operating role
- Experience operating a telehandler
- Ability to spot and direct an equipment operator to place material in the correct location
- Must be able to follow a map and work instructions
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English
- Must be willing and able to work on their feet for most of the 10 hour work day
- Ability to operate a forklift in a variety of weather and warehouse conditions
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and procedures
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and operate machinery for extended periods
- Prior experience in warehouse or logistics operations preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Experience working with forklifts or other warehouse equipment is advantageous.
