- Understand the business and is closely aligned with the business leaders
- Provide support and guidance to leadership and staff regarding human resources issues, policies and employment related law, talent management system utilization, and staff development
- Support and advise business leaders with employee relations issues. This may include conducting and documenting investigations, mediating conflict, and making recommendations for corrective actions
- Partner with leaders during the performance review process to write employee goals, action plans, and provide coaching for improved performance where needed
- Strives for greater efficiency of human resources services through the recommendation of new approaches to established policies, procedures, and programs
- Supports the employment lifecycle. This includes all aspects of recruiting, development, training, investigations, discipline, and termination
- Supports the company's training programs. This may include creation and facilitation of various training topics
- Supports HR Coordinator with such tasks as: conducting new hire orientation; establish and maintain employee files; update content and publish content in the Employee Handbook
- Stay current with federal and state laws as wells as HR best practices
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations
- Must be capable of maintaining high level of confidentiality
- Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen only with no citizenship of another country
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
- Bachelor's degree required
- 7- 10 years of progressive experience working in Human Resources required
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- Knowledge of legal requirements and best practices regarding HR policies and procedures. This includes Federal, WA and UT State and local employment law
- Must possess the ability to adapt to sudden changes in schedule and consistent interruptions
- Must have good leadership skills including the ability to inspire and motivate others
- Position requires considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration, effective oral and written communication skills in the English language as well as interpersonal skills, professional appearance, and work ethic
- Be able to work under pressure and in stressful situations
- Time management, organization and prioritization of projects or assignments is required
- Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex difficult, and emotional issues using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, or government law
- Salary range for this role is between $90,000 - $125,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
