
People & Culture Generalist

- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations and policy concerns.
- Conduct preliminary investigations for infractions; escalate complex ER matters to the Employee Relations Manager.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including union CBA adherence.
- Support corrective actions and maintain appropriate documentation with fairness and consistency
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure seamless local hiring and onboarding.
- Lead on-site orientation and support timely completion of new hire documentation and training.
- Represent dnata at local recruitment events and job fairs to promote employer branding.
- Monitor compliance training completion (e.g., MLZ, safety, and unit-specific).
- Promote upskilling opportunities, Train-the-Trainer initiatives, and talent development efforts.
- Support succession planning and mentorship initiatives at the unit level.
- Champion dnata’s People Experience focus areas: teamwork, belonging, wellbeing, and recognition.
- Support leadership in applying consistent and meaningful performance feedback and evaluations.
- Facilitate action plans following culture surveys and recognition programs.
- Maintain accurate records in the HRIS and ensure confidential handling of employee files.
- Support coordination of time, attendance, leaves of absence, and employee changes.
- Collaborate with payroll, benefits, and HR systems teams to resolve issues and ensure timely processing and accuracy of all data submitted to payroll/shared services.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws and employee relations practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on coaching, service, and collaboration.
- Bilingual (e.g., Spanish/English) preferred.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- Must be able to complete dnata’s TTT and Master Training certification within 180 days of employment.
