Job DescriptionThe Sr. Electrical Engineer provides guidance and direction for the Electrical Department of the Maintenance Department. The ideal Sr. Electrical Engineer will bring years of electrical engineering design experience, preferably in designing, developing, and integrating electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.In this role, you will be hands-on and will spend most of your time on the production floor.This position reports to our Maintenance Supervisor and you will get to work out of our facility in Lonoke, Arkansas.As the Sr. Electrical Engineer, you will have an opportunity to:
  • Develop capital project details for new equipment, major repairs, and machinery upgrades.
  • Assist with overseeing the Remington Ammunition's electrical grid and substations
  • Compile data and assist with setting standards regarding existing and potential engineering projects.
  • Confer with engineers, management, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, and systems for the manufacturing plant.
  • Develop budgets, estimating labor, material, and construction costs.
  • Direct and help coordinate construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, and codes.
  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Oversee electrical project efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget.
  • Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
  • Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
  • Supervise and train electrical team members as necessary.
You have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or relevant discipline.
  • 7+ years’ experience in developing and supporting custom manufacturing solutions using Allen Bradley and/or Bosch Industrial control systems.
  • Must be skilled in the use of HMI devices and creating interfaces between the control system of equipment and the employees that will interact with it.
  • Experience with high-speed manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
  • History of creative and effective problem-solving skills and collaboration
  • Experience managing complex, high-value projects and achieving project goals.
  • Highly motivated and able to achieve goals with minimal direction.
You might have:
  • Hands on experience with Six Sigma tools and techniques and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Small caliber ammunition manufacturing experience.
