- Be able to learn and understand the manufacturing processes of ammunition and how quality pertains to ammunition manufacturing.
- Perform machine/process capability studies to determine the validity of process parameters and identify areas or potential improvements, to include implementing improvements under the guidance of an Area Quality Engineer.
- Develop and improve Quality Inspection Documents so that quality inspections are clearly defined to the production areas.
- Be able to learn ISO 9001:2015 requirements and assist as an ISO Internal Quality Auditor in at least three quality audits within the manufacturing plant.
- Develop, review, and improve gage systems to maximize the inspection effectiveness to improve inspection efficiency and reduce operator measurement error.
- Learn the ballistic testing of ammunition and ammunition components in how it pertains to the manufacturing of ammunition to determine if the ammunition is conforming to specific requirements.
- Three years of college, or within one year of graduating with a bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or mathematics/statistics discipline.
- 0-2 Years of experience with solving problems using data and analysis
- Strong mechanical skills
- Knowledge in statistical analysis in being able to apply to manufacturing processes
- An interest or passion for the firearms/ammunition industry
- Shift: Monday-Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm
- Summer Internship: May-August
