- Clearly communicate company objectives and project details to field personnel and stakeholders.
- Maintain professional and respectful communication via phone, email, and text.
- Lead and participate in project meetings including OAC and Municipal Pre-Construction meetings.
- Respond to project team communications within a half-day timeframe.
- Collaborate with project teams throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Develop project scopes, logistics plans, and schedules.
- Select and manage subcontractors, ensuring clarity in delegated responsibilities.
- Identify and address performance issues with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Maintain project documentation using Acumatica and client systems (e.g., Autodesk, Procore).
- Resolve project delays, emergencies, and issues in coordination with field management.
- Monitor and report project progress and milestones.
- Work with Superintendents to organize staffing, equipment, and resources.
- Lead and train field personnel, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- Process RFIs, submittals, contracts, purchase orders, and notifications.
- Support and collaborate with other Project Managers and Operations Managers.
- Partner with the Safety Manager to enforce safety protocols and compliance.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and equipment checks with field teams.
- Train direct reports on company directives and best practices.
- Assess team skillsets, identify improvement areas, and support career development.
- Collaborate with estimating to develop budgets and timelines.
- Report financial projections and budget status to the project team.
- Process invoices and requisitions (AIA Payment Applications) in accordance with contract terms.
- Document and present change orders and conditions.
- Read and interpret project plans and train others as needed.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, Acumatica, Procore, Autodesk, and GPS/3D mapping tools.
- Navigate municipal inspections and requirements (e.g., utility, fire flow, compaction).
- Proven experience in construction project management.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in project management software and construction technologies.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements.
- Experience in civil construction management.
- Experience with change orders and RFIs.
- Proficiency in project coordination.
