- Review production schedules and confer with department supervisors to determine material requirements, identify overdue materials, and locate necessary materials.
- Requisition materials and establish delivery sequences to departments based on job order priorities and anticipated material availability.
- Arrange for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules and coordinate with department supervisors for repair, assembly, and transportation of materials to various departments.
- Examine material delivered to production departments to verify that it matches the type specified in job orders.
- Monitor and control the movement of material and parts along the conveyor system using a remote-control panel board.
- Compute the amount of material needed for specific job orders.
- Apply knowledge of products and manufacturing processes while using an adding machine.
- Compile reports on the quantity and type of material on hand.
- Move or transport materials between departments using hand or industrial trucks.
- Compile perpetual production records to locate material in the production process, using either manual or computerized systems.
- Maintain employee records related to material movement and production activities.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Consistently produces quality products and services.
- Completes all training within the required timeline.
- Performs all work in a safe and secure manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Up to two (2) years of related experience is required.
- High School Diploma is required.
- Forklift experience; with willingness to get certified.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Must maintain licenses and/or credentials required for this position.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Must possess the ability to interact well with others in a team setting ability or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
- Work Schedule is a 9/80: 80 hours over 9 days, with every other Friday off. (Mon - Thur is 9 hours, every other Fri is 8 hours)
- Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
- Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
- Must be able to perform duties under adverse weather conditions (extreme cold / heat, etc.). Outside work in winter, summer, rain, sleet, and snow and on uneven terrain – side hills and slopes.
- Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to perform on-call duties when necessary and report to work within the required timeframe from notification.
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
- Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
- Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
