
Senior Industrial Engineer - Fulfillment, Project Kuiper

- Conceptualize and develop facility layout and work cell designs to optimize material flow through inbound, receiving, storage, picking, kitting, and outbound transfers between facilities, supporting end-to-end fulfillment operations.
- Evaluate and implement material handling and storage solutions using technology, robotics, automation, and data analytics to meet the product flow requirements.
- Specify, lead, and develop analysis, and produce modeling, associated with labor, capacity, cycle time, headcount, and capex requirements for operational processes and planning.
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors.
- Identify and analyze key operational and financial metrics (KPIs) as part of program and feature selection in order to drive smart decisions.
- Coordinate with operations and technology teams to understand voice of the customer, develop business requirements, and develop product features that optimize the performance of the warehouse.
- Be the subject matter expert in SAP EWM.
- Collaborate on development, analyze, and optimize, fulfillment improvement roadmaps on 1-3 year timelines, ensuring best effort/impact projects are selected for the business.
- Contribute to development of standard ways of working across Kuiper for industrial engineering activities.

- 25% of your time will be spent on the shop floor, working with operations teams to monitor, review, and improve industrial processes.
- 35% of time will be spent performing independent development work such as deep diving on available data sets to identify and implement key warehouse process improvement actions and developing industrial solution and automation concepts.
- 30% of time will be spent in meeting settings, collaborating with others on topics such as new process introductions, business requirements development, process change management, solution finding reviews, etc.
- 10% of time will be spent in mentorship settings with others on the team, performing collaborative work and coaching to develop the team members skillsets, while driving best practices and ensuring common team execution to your technical vision.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive experience in warehouse/manufacturing operations, process improvements, industrial design, robotics/automation, or related fields
- 3+ years' experience with SAP EWM or similar warehouse management systems
- Experience performing Capacity and Headcount analysis at organizational level
- Experience with developing, planning, and deploying work cells in warehousing/manufacturing environments
- Experience with process mapping, value stream mapping, leading Kaizens.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations
- Experience with Statistical Process ControlPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Master's degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred), Business Administration, or 7+ years of progressive experience in related fields.
- Lean Six Sigma Green/Blackbelt
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems including robotics for parts fulfillment/manufacturing operations.
- Experience with operations research concepts like queuing theory, transportation theory, etc.
- Experience with process design and improvements based on Lean Principles
- Experience in new product introduction (NPI) environments or site launches.

The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market.
