As a crucial part of our Mechanical Department, the Plumbing Estimator plays a pivotal role in our operations. They are responsible for accurately estimating the costs related to plumbing projects, including materials, labor, and equipment. This role involves analyzing project specifications, collaborating with project managers, production team and ensuring that all estimates align with industry standards and company objectives.The pay range for this role is $100,000+ per year, based on experience. Travel to various projects for estimating is required.   • Conduct site visits and analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
  • Develop detailed labor, materials, permits, and equipment cost estimates.
  • Utilize industry-standard estimating software (Accubid/Bluebeam).
  • Research current market prices for materials and labor.
  • Collaborate with sales teams and project managers to ensure estimates meet project requirements.
  • Clearly communicate estimates and proposals to clients, answering questions and addressing concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all estimates.
  • Stay up to date on plumbing codes and regulations.
Qualified candidates will have....
  • Minimum two years of experience in plumbing estimating or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems and materials.
  • Excellent reading comprehension and ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel a must).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A current, unrestricted license is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
