The Qavi Laboratory at UCI is seeking applications for Postdoctoral Scholars are being sought from doctoral (PhD, MD, or foreign equivalent) candidates with strong laboratory research backgrounds & specialized training. Applicant can either currently possess required degree at the time of application or be working towards acquiring the required degree.The Qavi Lab is interested in developing the next generation of diagnostics for a variety of pathogens and diseases. Relevant skills include experience with lasers, LEDS, optical system hardware, clean room fabrication, electronic circuit design, optical engineering, signal processing, and data analysis. Will give preference (not a requirement) to those who have demonstrated high productivity during their doctoral studies with first author publications in well-respected journals. Experience with lasers, LEDS, optical system hardware, clean room fabrication, electronic circuit design, optical engineering, signal processing, and data analysis will be given preference.
