- Collaborate in the design, development, and implementation of new composite formulations, processes, and procedures.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, assembly, tooling, materials, and soliciting observations from production operators.
- Design and implement processes and recommend improvements.
- Test new raw materials to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform cost savings and new technology development activities.
- Assist in the research and proposals of new equipment or equipment modifications.
- Ensure all new designs are compliant with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning process flow.
- Work closely with production and support personnel to solve critical process issues, as well as develop and optimize processes.
- Utilize engineering knowledge to reduce variations in manufacturing processes and improve operating efficiency.
- Implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Develop innovative solutions and recommend new manufacturing technology.
- Interact with the sales team and customers to understand performance criteria, review prints, and ensure the best solution to meet the needs of the customer.
- Process Engineer with 0-5 years' experience.
- B.S. Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Strong aptitude in problem solving using critical and analytical thinking.
- Strong verbal and written communication and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and under direct supervision.
- Possess detail-oriented and organizational skills with the ability to work on clearly defined projects.
- Flexibility to work various shifts to accommodate and support production.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and AutoCAD.
