- Verify revisions to ensure they meet customer specifications.
- Create drawing files and import them into nesting software.
- Program for production and maintain department databases with current revisions.
- Review production drawings and CAD models, determining necessary adjustments for manufacturing.
- Generate work instructions for shop use, referencing blueprints and customer specifications.
- Collaborate with sales to develop quotes using programming methods.
- Communicate effectively through written and verbal means.
- Wear approved personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or management.
- Understand or show willingness to learn SolidWorks.
- Experience in 3D modeling, SolidWorks, CAD, and Revit.
- Proficiency in ByCam, Metamation, SigmaNest, and CNC programming.
- Expertise in nesting software and SigmaNest.
- Experience with sheet metal layout (radial line development).
- Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to organize daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
- Previous CAD experience or relevant work history.
- Technical training or degree.
- Good understanding of geometric tolerances and measurement skills.
- Strong keyboarding skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
