
Sanitation Technician - 1st & 2nd Shift

- 1st shift: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm
- 2nd shift: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm
- Saturday and Sunday are part of the required work schedule with 1 to 2 days off during the week
- Sanitation technicians are on a rotating schedule to have a weekend off
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Plant operation is 24 hours a day 6 days a week – When demand increases, hours and days can increase.
- $19.61 per hour & $1.00 shift differential for 2nd shift.

- Responsible for Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and managing sanitation activities
- Operate scissors and boom lift while doing MSS.
- Operate floor scrubber to clean and scrub the floors.
- Operate carboard baler, trash, and bakery feeds compactor.
- Operate COP tank for equipment parts and dip tank for the plates
- cleaning of spiral freezer and using pressure washer machine
- Clean outside surface of the silo.
- Understanding and following required programs, audits, fumigations, and documentation
- Responsible for proactive pest control inspections/documentation as a back up to Sanitation Lead
- Safe operation and maintenance of sanitation equipment, such as floor scrubber, COP tank, chemical foamer and industrial vacuum system
- Responsible for the maintenance of inside and outside facility/offices/grounds
- Cleaning and sanitation of the production lines, production and warehouse facility
- Timely and accurate completion of required inspections/documentation
- Safe operation of forklift and skid loader
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
- Assist in training new employees
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Previous industrial and/or food manufacturing sanitation experience preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
- Experienced working with chemicals
- Minimum of 3 years sanitation experience
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
- Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
- Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
- Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
- Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
- Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
