Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the MDS assessment process to ensure accurate and timely completion of resident assessments.
- Review resident clinical data and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement appropriate care plans.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to MDS assessments and documentation.
- Provide training and support to nursing staff and other team members on MDS procedures and best practices.
- Prepare and submit accurate reports to management regarding MDS compliance and quality measures.
- Monitor and analyze MDS data to identify trends and areas for improvement in resident care.
- Serve as a liaison between regulatory agencies and the facility concerning MDS-related issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or a related field.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license is preferred.
- Proven experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities is essential.
- Thorough understanding of MDS regulations, processes, and documentation requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with staff and residents.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
