  • Compensation: Starting pay rate of $18.00, actual wage will be adjusted based on experience.
  • Benefits: Full and part-time, seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
**Seasonal employee housing available for Full-Time Seasonal Staff, for more information check out: **Job Summary:The Killington Bike Park is New England's fastest growing downhill mountain bike park and features three high-speed lifts serving over 30 miles of trails. From beginner to expert and classic New England to Gravity Logic's signature flow trails, Killington Bike Park has terrain suitable for everyone. Three unique mountain areas make up our gravity-fueled bike park. Snowshed: Home of our beginner terrain with plenty of intermediate trails to keep you busy once you get the hang of it; Ramshead: Home of our signature freestyle trails and intermediate and advanced terrain for bikers who've graduated from Snowshed; Killington Peak: We've been offering classic New England trails featuring plenty of Technical Terrain that will challenge your ability for over 30 years.Summary of Key Responsibilities:Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Bike coaches are responsible for safely guiding, leading and coaching groups in various ability levels, including Learn-to-Ride, Youth Camp, private lessons, and various other product settings
  • Check-in, check out processes for schedules and timekeeping
  • Report Card completion at the end of the day
  • Bike Maintenance on personal equipment to keep bike in good riding condition
  • Assist in resort operations in other departments as needed
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
Job RequirementsBasic Qualifications:
  • High school education, plus 2 years of mountain bike riding experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired
  • Applicants for this position will be required to submit to a criminal background check
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience in guiding and instruction
  • Red Cross CPR and emergency response certified desired, but we will train the right candidates
  • Good customer service skills
  • Previous teaching experience a plus
  • Bike maintenance and repair skills
