  • Compensation: Starting pay rate of $16.65, actual wage will be adjusted based on experience.
  • Benefits: Full-time, seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
**Seasonal employee housing available for Full-Time Seasonal Staff, for more information check out: **Job Summary:The Bellman at the Killington Grand Hotel assists guests in checking in and out of lodging facilities and generally maintain appearance of hotel lobby and entryway. The Bellman is responsible for creating a warm and welcome feeling for guests arriving at the Killington Grand Resort Hotel and Conference Center. Main responsibility is the lobby area. Greets guests and owners arriving and departing from the hotel, opens the doors, parks guest’s cars, totes luggage and guest’s personal belongings to and from their rooms. Assists in providing guests with information about the area.Summary of Key Responsibilities:Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Has working knowledge of arrivals and departures, and on-mountain activities
  • In charge of keeping both the bellman closet, ski & bike check and hotel lobby clean
  • Familiar with mountain restaurants, as well as off-mountain tourist attractions and business location
  • Knowledge of the hotel’s fire system and procedures in the event of an emergency
  • Welcome guests by opening doors, unloading and transporting baggage, maintaining a high level of security with the guest’s items
  • Tags and stores baggage for guests as needed
  • Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times
  • Perform deliveries to guests as appropriate
  • Assist guests with wheelchairs
  • Promote positive public/employee relations at all times
  • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility
  • Be observant and maintain a clean and safe area outside of the hotel and parking areas, reporting any dangerous or suspicious activity and pick up all trash observed
  • Operate the courtesy vehicle or other assigned transportation in a safe and compliant manner, may include transportation of guests within the law, not exceeding licensing requirements
  • Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security
  • Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies
  • Must complete all required training and safety briefings as required

Job RequirementsBasic Qualifications:
  • Basic education (high school)
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Previous related experience desired
  • Must be able to drive a standard transmission
  • Must have a valid US driver's license and clean driving record
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be observant and pay attention to detail
  • Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, punctual, and a team player
  • Physical ability to lift and carry luggage, stand for extended periods of time, and work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to learn quickly and be friendly
  • Be a brand ambassador for the Grand Hotel and Killington, maintain a customer service and safety focus
