- Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
- No experience necessary. We will train on site.
- Previous experience within a bakery or restaurant kitchen setting is a plus.
- Must obtain a food handler’s permit once hired.
- Manually washes, rinses and sanitizes all baking pans, dishes, utensils and other tools in a thorough and timely manner and adheres to all Nothing Bundt Cakes and local health department standards.
- Monitors sanitization levels to ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
- Gathers and removes garbage, sweeps and mops floors, and cleans floor drains.
- Performs routine cleaning of various locations within the bakery including, but not limited to: refrigerator, chiller, break area, dish pit area, oven, and bathroom as needed.
- Maintains a clean, sanitized, and organized workstation, ensuring all cleaning supplies are sufficiently prepared for the start and end of each shift.
- Monitors inventory of cleaning supplies and notifies management in a timely manner when replenishment is required.
- Assists in the unloading, processing, and storage of the weekly supply delivery.
- Supports other team members in cleaning and organizing workstations as needed.
- Complies with all health and safety guidelines and Nothing Bundt Cakes policies and procedures, including strict adherence to personal hygiene.
- Assists the baking team as needed when all tasks in the dish pit area have been completed.
- Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.
- Must have the availability to work Thursday and Friday 9am to 5pm.
- Must be able to work Saturdays if needed due to higher business volume.
- Must be able to work additional hours during the holiday season as needed: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, etc.
- Can understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents such as operating procedures and health and safety rules, and apply knowledge to perform job responsibilities.
- Has the ability to perform repetitious, physical tasks that require the use of the arms, hands and fingers in a repetitive motion.
- Has the ability and strength to lift items of moderate to heavy weight frequently (up to 50lbs).
- Has the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Is meticulous about maintaining a clean, organized and sanitized workstation.
- Has a strong attention to detail with the ability to adhere to health and safety practices and work environment standards.
- Is diligent, organized and self-motivated, with the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Cross-Training to other positions within the bakery available. This position will evolve into more hours with cross training.
