- IP Sales Support: Supports IP sales team as sterile processing subject matter expert to gain Customer confidence, grow product line revenue, promote STERIS solutions, develop Customer proposals, refine offerings to meet Customer deliverables, provide assessment planning, identify ensure financial requirements are met, and coordinate efforts with Business Development team, IMS Repair and Surgical Instruments , STERIS IPT, STERIS Endoscopy: regional and corporate accounts representatives, as applied.
- Customer Assessments & Engagements: Performs strategic and operational assessments in sterile processing, surgical support areas, and endoscopy. Collaborates with Hospital C-level leadership to develop strategic decisions to meet Customer financial and operational objectives. Financial impact of strategic decisions ranges from $1 million to $20 million plus. Able to work with Customer to determine initial assessment requirements, develop scope of work and timeframe to complete assessment, engages the Customer Executive stakeholders, organize and perform assessment, and present professional product neutral findings to include appropriate onsite and /or offsite solutions which include STERIS options to support Customer's operational requirements. Serve in the role of Lead Consultant when the engagement includes multiple resources. Manages and maintains the planned budget for the engagement. Builds partnership opportunities with Customer Executive Team and makes appropriate introductions to STERIS resources that support customer needs: consumables, clinical education, product support, service, product design, repair services, instrument support.
- Customer Process Improvement: Develop Customer process improvement plan and provide executive leadership and guidance to IP and Customer process improvement teams. Mentors sterile processing leadership on management best practices, lean methodologies, operational and clinical best practices, and change management to achieve measurable operational improvement. Ensures that Process Improvement outcomes are favorable for the Customer. Develops and mentors resources that participate in process improvement. Able to oversee multiple Customer engagements simultaneously.
- Management and Development of Direct Reports: Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and guidance to employees. Clearly define and monitor GPS Objectives for optimal performance. Encourage employees to work in a positive environment. Monitors employee's ongoing work performance by providing coaching and guidance. Implement measures and ensure employees follow safety measures. Hire, onboard, and train staff for ideal outcomes. Maximize the output from all direct report's talents that drive the company's goals.
- IP Operations Support: Provide consulting expertise to improve internal IP sterile processing operations. Includes assessments, process improvement, compliance audits, operational score cards, and leadership mentoring to IP outsource accounts, owned off-site reprocessing centers, and IP staff and leadership.
- STERIS IPT Capital and STERIS Endoscopy Sales Support: Provide subject matter expertise to position STERIS solutions and enhance win rates for competitive projects valued from $500,000 to $5 million dollars and greater. Coordinates with STERIS IPT Capital, IP Operations, and STERIS Endoscopy on strategic utilization of consulting services to achieve STERIS revenue and margin objectives and sales growth.
- Negotiations/Proposals: Collaborate with and advise key business leaders during contract negotiations with Customers. Responsible for proposal development to include assessment planning and resource allocation. Must have sound understanding of financial indicators to ensure a favorable contract for both our Customers and STERIS IP.
- Training: Provides training to other Professional Services consultants on best practices, process improvement methods, consulting tools, and Customer management. Acts as team leader and role model in setting the standard for professionalism.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college; Master's degree preferred.
- Must have 10 years of experience working with Customers in the healthcare sector and/or tertiary care hospitals is preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of Sterile Processing and process improvement experience.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years in a Sterile Processing leadership or consulting position.
- Computer Skills: Working experience with all Microsoft programs, knowledge of spreadsheet software and word processing software. Ability to learn Oracle or other systems.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must maintain valid driver's license and vehicle insurance to meet travel requirements.
- Other Skills and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of Operating Room and Sterile Processing processes and protocols, and medical/surgical instruments required.
