- Oversee a team of 6 sales representatives responsible for the sale of mid and smaller construction Caterpillar tractors and work tools
- Leadership development of the team – mentoring, managing and overseeing development, training and directing work, quality control
- Develop the overall market strategy and marketing plan for sales growth in conjunction with GCI Manager (General Construction Industry-large Caterpillar products) and the Cat Rental Store Manager
- Drive revenue footprint and growth of the division by bringing ideas and getting them implemented
- Develop relationships with Caterpillar and other Cat dealers
- Resolve escalated challenges with both internal teams and customers
- Actively seek technology to provide better internal operations and enhance customer and employee satisfaction
- Analyze sales department data and forecasts, lost/won data, understanding metrics, under/over, ideas to improve profitability
- Provide annual and monthly forecasts to ensure appropriate machine and work tool inventory
- Understand and articulate the value of Caterpillar equipment and developing strategies to beat the competition
- Experience leading and managing a sales team
- You are customer experience focused
- You bring ideas for expanding market share and evaluating markets and opportunities for sales reach
- Experience with sales that include a financing component (you might have)
- A background or exposure in heavy machinery or equipment sales (you might have)
