Maintenance Technician (Nights/Industrial)

• Troubleshoot problem equipment as assigned by manager/supervisor
• Perform necessary repairs, installations and preventative maintenance to keep facilities & all production lines operating
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, lubricated, filters replaced, etc.
• Ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality.
• Perform essential change overs and startups as scheduled.
• Proactively inform management if equipment is unsafe to operate, needs repair or requires replacement

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School diploma or certificate of completion is preferred; technical school is an asset
• Mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery and electrical troubleshooting skills are required. Welding experience is considered an asset
• Experience working with extrusion machines or equipment is an asset
• Must be eager to learn, self-motivated to work independently and have good written and verbal communication skills
• Must provide own safety boots and preferably own basic hand tools
• Available to work 12-hour continental night shifts from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am with an average of 42 hours per week

• Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
