
Maintenance Technician (Nights/Industrial)

- Troubleshoot problem equipment as assigned by manager/supervisor
- Perform necessary repairs, installations and preventative maintenance to keep facilities & all production lines operating
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, lubricated, filters replaced, etc.
- Ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality.
- Perform essential change overs and startups as scheduled.
- Proactively inform management if equipment is unsafe to operate, needs repair or requires replacement
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or certificate of completion is preferred; technical school is an asset
- Mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery and electrical troubleshooting skills are required. Welding experience is considered an asset
- Experience working with extrusion machines or equipment is an asset
- Must be eager to learn, self-motivated to work independently and have good written and verbal communication skills
- Must provide own safety boots and preferably own basic hand tools
- Available to work 12-hour continental night shifts from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am with an average of 42 hours per week
- Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
