- Collaborate with the BID’s external Marketing/PR firm to develop and execute annual marketing and communication strategies.
- Oversee content creation and curation for the BID’s website, social media platforms, newsletters, and digital campaigns, with the support of a Marketing Intern.
- Ensure cohesive brand messaging and visual consistency across all platforms and collateral.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of major public events aligned with key cultural moments and festivals (e.g., Art Basel, Pride, Halloween, World Cup 2026)
- Create memorable and engaging smaller scaled programming such as street fairs, markets, pop-ups, and community celebrations that encourage workers and residents to explore the neighborhood.
- Foster creativity and innovation to continuously elevate Wynwood’s standing as a global hub for art, culture, and experiential programming.
- Manage all aspects of event production, including permitting, vendor coordination, budgeting, logistics, and on-site operations.
- Secure both in-kind and revenue-generating partnerships with sponsors, brands, artists, and local stakeholders to expand programming opportunities.
- Monitor and report on key event metrics, including attendance, economic impact, and community feedback.
- Ensure all events meet BID standards for safety, accessibility, inclusivity, and community impact.
- Serve as a point of contact and liaison to local businesses, property owners, residents and community organizations.
- Collaborate with local businesses to promote their initiatives and build brand awareness for Wynwood.
- Attend Wynwood Board meetings and community meetings; represent the BID at public forums when relevant.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in marketing, programming and/or event planning.
- Excellent writing, editing, and visual communication skills. Graphic design or video editing skills a plus.
- Strong command of digital marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Canva, Hootsuite, Google Analytics) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, balance budgets, solve problems creatively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Energetic, strategic, self-motivated, and collaborative with strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends for events and activations.
- Passion for placemaking, community development, urban revitalization, and supporting local businesses.
- Experience working with a Business Improvement District, municipal agency, nonprofit, or similar organization is preferred.
- Familiarity with permitting and city agency processes is highly desirable.
- Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus.
