- May have an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above.

- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Lawson, Visio and ERP Inventory control.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in inventory control procedures and user functions of the inventory processing system.
- Ability to translate data into conclusions or actions for improvement, and experience with process improvement or LEAN methods
- Knowledge of medical supplies, supply utilization and supply standardization
- Self-motivated person who continuously strives to learn and is experienced in problem-solving, organizing and coordinating skills.

- Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills to communicate effectively with hospital employees of all levels and vendors to resolve materials problems.
- Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers.
- Locates alternative sources of supplies through research with other vendors or hospitals to ensure timely supply of needed products
- Executes multiple functions required to procure new products, deplete former versions, and address excess and obsolete inventories.
- Communicate with warehouse supervisor about current stock and potential issues with orders and keeps management informed of any significant problems with stock-outs, manufacture backorders, recalls and obsolete products.
- Assists in the planning and coordination of End of Year Inventory
- Assists in cycle count completion and performs related discrepancy research.
- Interfaces with departmental personnel to verify correct orders are placed and monitors usage and sourcing.
- Review and maintain the current inventory counts as required to ensure that overstocks are minimized and that the redundant and obsolete products are disposed and removed in accordance with prescribed methods.
- Demonstrates knowledge of Materials Management regarding transfers and issues from warehouse to other sourcing methods and conduct daily analysis to forecast potential inventory issues.
- Assumes responsibility for ensuring the effective and timely start/completion of all trials and conversions, applying knowledge of product and usage to assist with timelines.
- Interface lead as it relates to catalog change for products to communicate changes to on-site and off-site customers.
- Coordinate deliverable schedules for conversions and trials, project timelines, and shares concerns about deliverables, timelines, and other issues with management and clinical staff.
- Acts as liaison between Material Services and Value Analysis for all product trials and conversions and proactively manages the sourcing with contracted vendors.
- Review reports to maintain status of all purchase orders on weekly basis and work with purchasing department ensuring compliance of established timelines.
- Collaborate with Informatics team to generate and review reports determining basic characteristics, such as origin and report flow, format, frequency, distribution and purpose or function of report.
- Regularly analyze and report out on inventory risks, evaluate trends, and vendor strategies in order to meet fill rates and control inventories using reports and metrics.
- Conduct analysis of data to check for trends and patterns to identify current Medical Surgical distribution and sourcing performance and recommend strategy to address and mitigate risk.
- Investigate discrepancies in the warehouse inventory system and report findings and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with clinical departments and vendors to examine processes or issues that negatively impact inventory management while recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Performs special projects and produces special project reports as requested by the supervisor.
