An IT Specialist contributes to this mission by maintaining, updating, and optimizing our various systems and applications.This role requires skill in troubleshooting hardware, software, and other IT systems with exceptional problem-solving and communication skills. A strong understanding of networking and network infrastructure with a security mindset is essential. This role involves providing technical support to end-users, implementing security measures, and staying abreast of technological advancements to optimize IT processes.RESPONSIBILITIESTechnical Support:
  • Provide timely technical support to end-users, diagnosing problems and offering practical solutions.
  • Help with hardware and software installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.
  • Offer guidance on the use of IT systems and applications.
System Administration:
  • Manage the ongoing maintenance, updates, and upgrades of our systems and applications to ensure optimal performance, security, and functionality.
  • Monitor system health, analyze performance metrics, and proactively address potential issues.
Security:
  • Implement and maintain security measures, including antivirus software, firewalls, and encryption.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
  • Monitor system performance and address any issues to ensure optimal functionality.
Configuration Management:
  • Take an active role in developing and maintaining configuration profiles for various systems, ensuring uniformity and compliance with established standards.
  • Use Support and RMM tools to monitor and manage configuration changes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution of discrepancies.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
  • Contribute to the creation of comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Aid in the development of user-friendly end-user documentation and guides to empower users in navigating systems effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience) is preferred.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to analyzing and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and end-users.
  • Skillful documentation ability to create clear and concise technical documents and user guides.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented mindset for configuring systems, managing profiles, and tracking changes accurately.
